Dear players,

See in the following list all promotional events that are scheduled this year:

These events are for beginners who want to discover Go or just curious passers-by.

More importantly we will need volunteers, especially for the big events : Made In Asia, I Love Science and Bruxelles Games Festival or moderately sized events such as Myusticon or Manga and Cosplay festivals.

Your main organizers will be Edouard Jeanjean, Tom Van Den Broeck and Michael Silcher (president@gofed.be). You may either contact them directly or via the forms that will be put in place in the calendar for the big events.

2026 Belgian Championship preliminaries

Preliminaries Belgian Championship

In this tournament, we determine which four players will qualify for the Belgian Championship Finals on 16 and 17 May. They will be joined by the four top finishers from last year’s finals (*).

The tournament is open and free of charge to all members of the BGF (and open only to members).
Non-Belgian players have to have been domiciliated in Belgium since at least one year.

(*) Pre-qualified players are: Jan Ramon, Kevin Prist, Yannick Kuy, Lucman Bounoider.

Belgium-China Association - Avenue Paul Deschanel 92 - 1030 Brussels

How to get there

The tournament location is 20 minutes walking from the Brussel North train station (Brussel-Noord / Bruxelles-Nord)
2 minutes away from the tram station Côteaux
15 minutes away from the metro station Botanique

1st round on 10 AM on Saturday 14/03.
Swiss system - 7 rounds (possibly round robin up to 8 participants)
Timing: 60 minutes + 20 stones/5 min Canadian byo-yomi.

Registration Deadline: Please apply before Friday 13/03 at 18h.

Live Broadcast

Some games will be transmitted and commented live on Twitch on Saturday and Sunday in the evening or afternoon somewhere.
