The new Pandanet season kicked off with an excellent start for Belgium, defeating Switzerland 3–1in Round 1.

There were some lineup changes this year, with Kévin Prist moving to Board 2, Lucman Bounoider to Board 3, and Renaud Gaban and Joachim Laloux joining the team.

Lucas Neirynck (6d) led the way with a calm and confident win on Board 1, showing great control throughout. Lucman Bounoider followed with a flawless performance, dominating his opponent from start to finish. Jan Ramon (3d) sealed the victory after a brilliant endgame comeback. Only Kévin Prist(4d) fell short in a tactical fight on Board 2.

With this strong start, Belgium now sits second in League B.
Next up: Ireland, on or around November 11 or the week before, 2025.
