Chez Parrain, the cafe where the go club Le Pantin was gathering until now every saturday, has recently closed. We are looking for a new playing room. Next saturday, the club will be held at L'Union, Parvis de Saint-Gilles, Brussels at the usual playing times. However, this is not definite and we will update the new playing room as soon as we have found one. Check our website for updates.

L'Assemblée Générale annuelle, organise de décision suprême de notre fédération, a eu lieu dimanche 20/01/2013.

Les points à l’ordre du jour étaient les suivants:
1. bilan des activités de 2012 (par la présidente)
2. rapport financier 2012 (par le trésorier)
3. discussion sur les activités futures de la Fédération
4. fixation du budget 2013 (et du montant de la cotisation fédérale 2013)
5. élection statutaire du conseil d’administration

Le PV de cette réunion sera prochainement disponible dans la section réservée aux membres. Mais sachez déjà que le nouveau CA est composé de
- Thomas Connor, président (nouvellement élu)
- Jan Ramon, trésorier (porlonge son mandat)
- Vincent Quoilin (nouvellement élu)
- Joost Vannieuwenhuizen (prolonge son mandat)
(Marie Jemine, Vincent Lochen et Jean-Denis Hennebert étaient démissionnaires).

De Jaarlijkse Algemene Vergadering vond plaats op zondag 20/01/2013.

Op de agenda stonden de volgende punten:
1. Activiteitenverslag 2012 (door de voorzitter)
2. Financieel verslag 2012 (door de penningmeester)
3. Discussie over de toekomstige activiteiten van de BGF
4. Vastleggen budget 2013 (incl. vastlegging lidgeld)
5. Verkiezing van het bestuur

Binnenkort zal het PV van deze vergadering beschikbaar zijn in de "section restricted to the members".
Maar wij laten al jullie weten de nieuwe samenstelling van de Raad van Bestuur:
- Thomas Connor, voorzitter
- Jan Ramon, schatbewaarder
- Vincent Quoilin
- Joost Vannieuwenhuizen
(Marie Jemine, Vincent Lochen et Jean-Denis Hennebert hebben ontslag genomen).

Olivier Drouot and Thomas Connor started animating a go workshop on the basis of once a week. The idea is to discuss a professional game for 1h to 1h30. The workshop is scheduled Chez Parrain, Rue de Roumanie 56 in Brussels on saturday at 4pm.

Sadly enough , there were only 6 participants in this very interesting lecture by the young and sympathic Chinese (now living in Boston - USA) Master.

Atelier par Xie Guochen (6-d) le dimanche 13/05

Une occasion unique à ne pas rater : Maître Xie Guochen est un des meilleurs joueurs actifs aux Etats-Unis.
Il est actuellement de passage en Belgique et animera pour la fédération un atelier destiné à tous les joueurs quelque soit leur niveau.

Le dimanche 13/05, de 10h30 à 17h (pause repas de 13h à 14h) au bar–resto « Babbelaar » Kerkplein 3 à 1601 Ruisbroek (salle de fête à l’étage)

Remarques :

1. L’atelier sera animé en anglais (une connaissance limitée suffit).
2. Les participants sont priés de consommer sur place (ce qui nous permet de bénéficier de la gratuité de la salle)

Workshop door Xie Guochen (6-d) zondag 13/05

Een unieke en onmisbare kans: een workshop door Meester Xie Guochen.

Xie Guochen telt onder de sterkste Amerikaanse spelers.
Hij verblijf enkele dagen in ons land en zal een workshop, gericht naar go spelers van alle sterktes, animeren.

Zondag 13/05 van 10u30 tot 17u (lunch van 13u tot 14u), op de bar-resto “Babbelaar” Kerkplein 3 te 1601 Ruisbroek (festzaal op verdiep)

Toegangsplan: http://fr-be.mappy.com/#d=kerkplein+1601&p=map; met openbare vervoer: bus MIVB nr. 50; NMBS: station van Ruisbroek. Parking mogelijk op Kerkplein.

Deelname in de kosten: 6 € voor leden BFG; 10 € voor de anderen. Ter plaats te betalen. Korting met 2 € indien preregistratie voor 9/5 (gewoon door een e-mail naar "board@gofed" te sturen)

Opmerkingen:

1. De workshop zal in Engels gegeven worden
2. De deelnemers worden verzocht de maaltijd / draken ter plaats te consumeren (dat was een voorwaarde om de zaal gratis te kunnen boeken)

Dear players,

Starting from 2012 you can access the Yunguseng Dojang programme on KGS. The BGF offers a discount for its players. Please find full information about the programme here and the information page for payments in Belgium here.

This is an intensive programme that many of us had a chance to try already, and a proof of its efficiency could be that there are so many regular students in Switzerland already.

We hope that many players will seize this opportunity to improve and have fun.

A workshop will take place on Dec. 10th and 11th (weekend) in Brussels.

Location will be precised soon. We try to find a place quiet enough and easily accessible.

The teacher will be In-Seong Hwang, Korean 7d, and official instructor in Switzerland. He's been much appreciated at the Go camp, so he proposed to innovate with a second teaching experience, in winter.

If you want to take part, you have to pay the teaching fees before November 1st!

If we don't have enough players to organize the class, we will have to cancel, that's why we have to know soon enough, thank you for your understanding.

In-Seong Hwang is a very good teacher, and we hope many players will take the time to enjoy his lessons and improve faster thanks to him.

Hello all Belgian Go players !

It is my duty and honour to announce the intermediate results of the 2011 Interclub tournament. This year we have 3 participating clubs: Antwerpen, Gent and Leuven. Because of the low number of teams, we have decided to double the number of rounds played and have all couples of teams play both home and away.
So far, half of the rounds have been played.

Antwerpen has managed to win a game (congratulations to Dennis Wolfs). Gent has won three games so far, and current leader (and winner of the 2010 season) is Leuven.
Congratulations to all participating teams, and good luck in the next rounds !
