35th Brussels Tournament 30th & 31th October 2021
IMPORTANT COVID INFORMATION (updated 28/10/2021)
The 35th Brussels tournament of 30 & 31 October 2021 is confirmed to take place. The authorities in Brussels have instated a rule that for any event taking place indoors with more than 50 participants, it is mandatory to be in possession of a valid Covid Safe Ticket. While there are not yet 50 registered players at the moment, we will still require a valid Covid Safe Ticket, given that the safe distance of 1,5m can not be guaranteed during a game of Go. Also, in all indoor places where the Covid Safe Ticket is not used, it is mandatory to wear a mask. So while it will not be necessary to wear a mask in the tournament hall, you will need to wear it outside of the tournament hall, and in the bar downstairs. For this reason, please do not forget to bring a mouth mask with you.
For internationals: We will be using an app from the Belgian government to scan the QR codes of the Covid Safe Tickets. For participants from other European countries, an equivalent QR code issued by your country's government will also be accepted.
Tournament format
Five rounds MacMahon without handicap
Timing: 1 hour per player + byo-yomi: 15 stones for 5 minutes
